MIP 2022.2 New Features & Functionality

Released in December, MIP Fund Accounting version 2022.2 provides users with a number of new features and functionality. All MIP software users with an active maintenance and support plan will have access to the latest version.

Payroll with Direct Deposit in the MIP Modern UI

Simple inline editing of employee information
The ability to edit employee timesheets in bulk or individually at-a-glance
Resend Payroll vouchers and emails with greater customization of email content
Improved reporting process for W-2s combining two steps into one report

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for MIP Classic and Modern UI and HR Management

MFA enablement will begin in January for selected groups of customers. A webinar will be offered by Community Brands explaining how MFA can be setup for users.

Alt+F5 and Alt+F6 Keyboard Shortcuts

MIP customers will be able to copy either fields or rows of data while working with transactions in the Modern UI.

Report Favorites

Customer can now select their favorite reports which can also be displayed and run from the Dashboard

Office 365 Authentication in MIP Classic

Users will now be able to authenticate with their Office 365 accounts to send non-automated email messages. Messages sent using this method will appear in the user’s Sent email list.

Improvements and new features in this release:

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Over the next few months, Community Brands will begin to rollout Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for customers using MIP’s Classic UI and the HR Management module in the Cloud environment. MFA for MIP’s Modern UI is actively being developed to add an even deeper layer of protection to our already rich, security feature set.

9-Dot Waffle Menu

A new 9-dot waffle menu is being added to the MIP Cloud Portal and the MIP Modern UI. Customers will be able to quickly move between MIP Fund Accounting and additional products offered by Community Brands including: TADs, Ravenna, GiveSmart Events and more!

TADS/MIP Data Adapter

The 2022.1 release includes sample data and definition files that can be customized which will provide a simplified process for Education customers to import cash receipts into MIP Fund Accounting.

API Enhancement

The Session Posed Date field is now available for Recursive Transactions in our API

What’s on the Horizone for MIP?

Year-End Compliance

Community Brands is actively working on several State tax updates and will provide year-end release as soon as we have received the final Federal compliance requirements.

A/R Billing in the Modern UI

Development of the A/R Billing module for MIP modern is on track and will include several enhancements that have been requested by MIP customers. This is planned for release in Q1 2023.

Deepened Product Integration

Community Brands is actively working to deepen integration of MIP with additional products.
