I’ve been putting on Sage 100 Fund Accounting user group meetings for the past few years and always enjoy helping our clients better utilize their fund accounting software.

It’s also nice to just take a moment to gather together and chat about what is happening in the nonprofit community and its effect on everyone.

Clients sometimes ask me, “So what do you do at these user group meetings?”  I explain that it’s an opportunity for them to talk with other Sage Fund Accounting users about their experiences and learn about new developments and product enhancements.  We also teach users new techniques to become more efficient at using their software.

I’m excited to announce our upcoming Sage 100 Fund Accounting user group meetings which will be held in October at four different locations.  Information is listed below.  I hope to see you there!

FALL 2012 TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION

To create or not to create . . . . . that is the question.
The idea of “out-of-the-box” financial statements has a certain appeal.  But will they provide the information your organization requires?  We’ll show you how to create them and compare the process with building your own from scratch.

Cheap may be good, but free is better!
Now that Grant Administration has been included with the General Ledger module (which everyone owns!), isn’t it time to take a look at putting it to work for you?   Record grant details, run reports, attach grant documents.  It’s all available with Grant Administration.

How do they do that?
Bring the questions that have been baffling you about your Sage 100 Fund Accounting software.  Then talk with other users to find out how they may have already solved your issues.  We’ll set aside sufficient time to allow for open interaction between users.

  • How to create a training database.
  • Why use account code combinations?
  • Advanced Security – taking controls to the next level.
  • Creating a positive pay file for your bank.
