I’ve been putting on Sage 100 Fund Accounting user group meetings for the past few years and always enjoy helping our clients better utilize their fund accounting software.

It’s also nice just to take a moment to gather together and chat about what is happening in the nonprofit community and its effect on everyone.

Clients sometimes ask me, “So what do you do at these user group meetings?”  I explain that it’s an opportunity for them to talk with other Sage 100 Fund Accounting (MIP) users about their experiences and learn about new developments and product enhancements.  We also teach users new techniques to become more efficient at using their software.

I’m excited to announce our upcoming Sage 100 Fund Accounting user group meetings which will be held in April at four different locations.  Information is listed below.  I hope to see you there!

SPRING 2012 TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION:

New in Version 11.0 – The recent release of version 11.0 continues adding functionality to Sage 100 Fund Accounting.  We’ll explore some of the features found in this new release including the new look, auto updates, grant administration capabilities and more.

Reporting Goes Visual – What if you could add some pizzazz to your board reports?  Or maybe a little flair for the department managers?  We’ll look at ways to enhance your reports with charts and graphs – whether thru GL reporting, using the Visual Analyzer, or tapping into Excel.

Customizing Sage 100 Fund Accounting (MIP) – Those wild and crazy accountants!  Look at what all we can do with our software.  There’s custom columns, customized workstation settings, user-defined fields, and account code combinations.  If those topics don’t excite you, maybe you’re in the wrong profession.

Open Forum – As always, a time for questions & suggestions to share with fellow Sage Fund Accounting users.
