What’s New in Sage 100 2026.1
Simplified 1099 Preparation and ACH Processing
Organizations that process 1099s will benefit from a new Form 1099 Reconciliation Report available in Accounts Payable. The report allows users to print 1099 information for selected vendors and compare that information before year-end processing, helping identify discrepancies before forms are generated.
Service Pack 1 also includes a small but valuable improvement to ACH processing. When the Company Entry Description field is left blank in ACH Maintenance, Sage 100 will now automatically populate “PURCHASE” as the default value in the ACH file. These enhancements can help reduce manual review time and support more efficient payment processing workflows.
Enhanced Inventory Visibility
For businesses that rely on lot tracking, Sage has improved access to important inventory details within Item Maintenance. The Lot Code Source and Country of Origin fields now display directly on the Cost Detail tab when tracking lot code source information.
By making these details more readily accessible, users can review inventory traceability information without navigating to additional screens, helping streamline inventory management and reporting tasks.
Continued Improvements to User Experience
Users familiar with the AI-powered Sage Help Agent introduced in Sage 100 2026 will notice a new name. The tool is now called Search Help, but it continues to provide the same functionality, allowing users to ask questions and quickly locate relevant help content directly within Sage 100.
This change aligns with Sage’s ongoing efforts to make product assistance easier to access and use within the software.
Product Enhancement Program Updates
Service Pack 1 also includes a change to the Sage Product Enhancement Program (PEP). The PEP option has been removed from the Administrative Tools screen and is now enabled automatically within Sage 100.
The program collects information about software usage and hardware environments to help Sage better understand how customers use the product and identify opportunities for future improvements. Sage notes that sensitive data, including financial information and individual transaction details, are not collected.
Planning for Your Sage 100 2026 Upgrade
With Service Pack 1 now available, organizations considering an upgrade to Sage 100 2026 have a good opportunity to begin evaluating their readiness for the transition.
As part of the planning process, it’s important to review your current Sage 100 environment, including whether you’re running a 32-bit or 64-bit version, workstation and server compatibility, and any third-party integrations, reports, or automated processes that support your day-to-day operations.
Because Sage 100 2026 is a 64-bit-only release, taking the time to assess these areas early can help create a smoother upgrade experience and minimize unexpected issues along the way.
