Microsoft FRx Desktop is a graphical reporting tool that allows the user to create custom financial statements directly from the Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90/200) system. This is accomplished by creating row formats, column layouts, and reporting trees independently of each other. Row formats are used to link FRx Desktop to the General Ledger accounts in Sage 100 ERP (MAS 90/200). Column layouts allow the user to report budget or actual numbers, perform calculations on other columns, hide columns, and many other functions. Reporting trees are used to detail the reporting units and allow the user to move the reporting units from parent to child positions and vice versa with drag-and-drop functionality. These building blocks are then combined to generate financial reports. After creating a report the user can print it, export it to an Excel workbook, drill down into it to examine the transaction details, or distribute it by email. FRx Desktop includes links that allow the user to include external spreadsheet data in reports. It also contains the functionality necessary to generate multi-company consolidation financial statements.
